What personal information is collected?
PRBC only collects personal information from online visitors and PRBC Data
Network users on a voluntary basis and only upon completion of the Contact Form, Enrollment Form, and Partner Application.
What happens to the information provided?
PRBC is a credit bureau and is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission.
As a credit bureau, PRBC is required by federal law, the Fair Credit
Reporting Act (FCRA), to not share or disclose personal information
other than for "permissible purposes" as defined by the FCRA.
Therefore, all personal information provided to PRBC by you or about you
by others will held in strict confidence, and only released to qualified
third parties, such as lenders or brokers, with your permission.

Special offers and updates
We will occasionally send you information about new products and services that relate to building your credit file with PRBC. Out of respect for your privacy, you may opt out of receiving these types of marketing communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each promotional email we send.
Service-related announcements
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.
Customer service
Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcome email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.

We receive permission to post testimonials prior to posting them on the prbc.com website.
Payment verification
If you create a PRBC profile with account payment information and choose to order a PRBC Report, your payment data will need to be verified by an independent third party. All payment verifications are conducted confidentially by FCRA certified members of the NCRA (National Credit Reporting Association). Our verification partners are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose including their own marketing.
Identity verification
If you decide to order a payment verification from PRBC, it may be necessary for PRBC to conduct an identity verification through an independent third party, to protect against fraud. All verifications are conducted confidentially by FCRA certified members of the NCRA (National Credit Reporting Association). Our verification partners are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose including their own marketing.
Information sharing and disclosure
Aggregate information (non-personally identifiable)
Occassionaly, we may share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners, who consist of banks, bill pay services, and lenders in the credit and financial industries. This information does not identify individual users, and we do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.
When you sign up for the CheckFreeWeb with PRBC Payment Reporting service, you will be directed to checkfreeweb.com to complete the registration process. Information shared with this third-party website is covered under checkfreeweb.com's privacy policy. Information from checkfreeweb.com that is shared back with prbc.com for purposes of documenting your payment activity is covered under our privacy policy.
When you sign up for the AccountNow Prepaid MasterCard® with free Credit Builder from PRBC, you will be directed to accountnow.net to complete the registration process. Information shared with this third-party website is covered under accountnow.com's privacy policy. Information from accountnow.com that is shared back with prbc.com for purposes of documenting your payment activity is covered under our privacy policy.

What about cookies?
